► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a Rare Vintage Seiko Alba Success V337-6010 Men’s Quartz Dress Watch, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) during the 1980s. This is a classic and elegant Alba model featuring a clean multi-scale dial design, slim gold-tone case, and refined dress proportions that are characteristic of Seiko’s higher-grade Alba “Success” line from this era. This watch is in full working condition, and all features and functions operate properly. The movement is running as it should, and the watch presents well overall. All parts of the watch are original. The case back is factory engraved with a Japanese commemorative inscription, translating to Tenjin Building, Commemoration of the opening of the underground passage, dated April 12, 1989. This engraving indicates the watch was issued to commemorate the opening of an underground pedestrian passage in the Tenjin district of Fukuoka, Japan, adding legitimate historical and regional significance rather than being a generic presentation piece. The watch is in very good physical condition overall, showing normal signs of use and age consistent with a vintage timepiece. The case and dial present cleanly, while the original strap is beginning to deteriorate due to age. The photos best describe the watch’s physical condition. ► ARCHIVE FILE: SEIKO — BRAND HISTORY

Seiko begins with Kintaro Hattori, who opened a shop selling and repairing clocks in Tokyo's Ginza district in 1881, at the age of twenty-one. He founded the Seikosha factory in 1892 to manufacture wall clocks, built Japan's first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913, and put the Seiko name on a dial for the first time in 1924. By mid-century his successors ran one of the most vertically integrated watch companies on earth, making everything from hairsprings to cases under its own roof.
